Girl power on center stage!

Renowned pop fashionista Lady Gaga join forces with Yoko Ono and her Plastic Ono Band in a concert at the Orpheum theater, in Los Angeles.

24-year-old Lady G, who performed two songs at the end of the three hour gig, paid tribute to 77-year-old Ono, widow of the late Beatles sensation John Lennon.

"Thanks for being so brilliant and such an inspiration to so many woman," says the Poker Face singer, who topped off the evening lying next to Ono on top of a piano.

The concert, directed by son Sean Lennon, commenced prior to John Lennon's planned weekend birthday celebration set on October 9. The legend of the fab four would have been 70.

Talk has it that Ono has been occupied in arranging a series of peace-promoting events in Iceland that day and will even light the Imagine Peace Tower, like she does every year on the same momentous day. The tower serves as a memorial to John Lennon from his wife.

Inscribed on the tower, are Ono's undying words of love for her late hubby:

"I dedicate this light tower to John Lennon, my love for you is forever."

Love like that is a rarity nowadays. I tip my hat off to her.
