Till death do us part is a rarity in Tinseltown!
Righty. Pop princess Christina Aguilera and music producer Jordan Bratman can attest to that harsh reality, with the couple's rattling public announcement of their separation, after an almost 5-year marriage.
According to a statement revealed by a source to UsMagazine.com, the estranged spouses have been separated for a few months and are currently living apart although divorce is not yet an option at this point. Their 2-year-old son Max is top priority despite the current scenario.
Bionic singer Aguilera discloses, "Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever."
Like in any marriage crisis, there have been attempts to revive that magic. Yet sources further reveal that the couple's previous Italian escapade back in August proved unsuccessful and that "they were more like friends than husband and wife." Guess they need more work on those romantic tourist spots.
