Your friendly neighborhood web-crawler is getting a massive revamp.
First we have The Social Network heartthrob Andrew Garfield, stepping into Peter Parker's shoes and news of the costume itself getting a new look, in the upcoming Spider-Man reboot. Reboot is the Hollywood craze nowadays.
Now, we have Marvel coming up with a new and hotter redhead. Yesiree. Step aside, Kristen Dunst, because reports have surfaced that 'Easy A' stunner Emma Stone has been casted as Parker's love interest, Mary Jane Watson.
Yet hold your horses fellas, because Mary Jane won't be dropping by until later on in the series, as our hero comes of age. Gwen Stacy, Parker's first ever flame, will open up the Spidey show and four potential candidates have been considered for the part of the blonde beaut.
On the queue are Alice In Wonderland's Mia Wasikowska and Dianna Agron of Glee fame. And not to be left out is Georgina Haig of the Toronto flick 'Wasted On The Young,' and the star of last year's indie hit 'Moon,' Dominique McElligott. May the best chick win.
Yup. Things are shaping up for the franchise and I'm expecting to see a fresh new concept that'll rock web-slinging die-hards out there. Don't get me wrong, I was totally into Sam Raimi's previous works of art but we're talking about a new chapter here. Plus, the last one sucked for me. And thank goodness, no more pint-sized Spidey.
