Those slasher flicks are partly to blame for this mess.
Not exactly. But actor/filmmaker David Arquette comes clean with the recent split-up from his actress wife of eleven years, Courtney Cox, who was also his onscreen love interest in the popular 'Scream' franchise.
Arquette, who reportedly went through a one month sex drought with 'Friends' star Cox, exposed the gritty details behind the couple's parting of ways in a phone call with Howard Stern.
Amidst the buzz of a blooming romance surrounding wife Cox and 'Cougar Town' co-star Brian Van Holt, Arquette admits to having slept with actress and cocktail actress Jasmine Waltz during the separation.
Says Arquette, "I did have sex with her one time, maybe twice...my sexual encounter made me feel pretty manly. She's like, 'listen, I want you to be able to do whatever you have to do.'" You're the king of the world, bro.
As to why the sugary sweet tandem headed for splitsville, the actor revealed to Stern that it was his childish behavior that caused a stain on their relationship, with Cox allegedly saying that "I don't wanna be your mother anymore." Yup, it's about the unclosed toilet seat again.
Despite all that has transpired, Arquette comes up with this sweet, yet overused quote:
"She's the greatest woman I've ever met."
Awww, I've got the sniffles. You know buddy, it would be therapeutic hanging out with Tiger Woods and Jesse James at this point. Ashton Kutcher? Uh, leave him out for now.
