Jean Claude Van Damme: Gets Thumbs Up Sign After Minor Heart Attack!
The muscles from Brussels lives to fight another day!
Renowned Hollywood action hero Jean Claude Van Damme survives a close one, following a minor heart attack while on the New Orleans set of his upcoming movie, 'Weapon.'
Sources reveal that Van Damme, who recently hit the big 50 on Monday, put the whole film shoot at a standstill in Louisiana when he suffered a minor heart attack, and was briefly admitted to a hospital. The beefy star was given the green light and has gone back home to Belgium for full recovery.
"He is okay," the actor's reps responded to MTV News inquiries on his condition. Hard as nails, it takes a lot more to put a good man down.
The movie, which stars Van Damme as a lethal assassin who joins forces with the opposition to bring down a drug cartel, was in production in Romania prior to flying to New Orleans for a three-day shoot. The action-packed flick is set to hit theaters in 2011.
Van Damme hasn't lost his touch, and we loyal die-hards are aching to see the ace showcase those trademark moves that propelled him to global superstardom.
Get well soon sport. And hey, eat your heart out, Sly!
