Sean Penn Vs. Wyclef Jean: The Love-spat Continues!

Former Hollywood bad boy Sean Penn retaliates with class!

The Oscar-winning actor chooses to take it light on his ammo as he responds to ex Fugees leader Wyclef Jean's lyrical attack in this continuing public showdown between the two camps.

According to Penn's spokesperson, the statement reads: "Mr. Jean is clearly unfamiliar with the physical demands put upon volunteers in Haiti. As aid workers there, the notion of depleting the body's immune system thru the use of illicit drugs is ludicrous." Ouch.

The Milk star's statement is a clear counter attack to Jean's lyrics which the latter sampled at Hot 97's On Da Reggae Tip Concert in New York on Friday.

The altered version of his 2004 song President took aim at both Penn and former Fugees bandmate Pras, who expressed their skepticism over Wyclef's ability to govern a earthquake-stricken Haiti.

"I got a message for Sean Penn: Maybe he ain't see me in Haiti because he was too busy sniffing cocaine. I got a message for Praswell, even though you don't want to support me, I got love for you, even though you only kicked eight bars in the Fugees."

Penn also shed light on Jean's absence during Haiti's turbulent times following the January earthquake, in a piece he wrote in a Huffington Post column.

I won't be the referee in this face-off concerning critical issues. May the best man win!
