Oops, she did it again! Singer and former Twitter queen Britney Spears has captivated Gleeks worldwide with her sizzling Glee tribute on Tuesday night.
The momentous episode, entitled 'Britney/Britanny, skyrocketed with a 5.8 rating, rising 4 percent from the show's second season premiere last week. This also marks a historical feat, as the first series to debut as the top series of the week since NBC's 'Seinfeld,' reports Entertainment Weekly.
The show's best rating episode to date, hitting it off with adults aged 18-49, featured cameos by Spears herself, attracting a mind-boggling 13.3 million viewers. You paying attention, Madonna?
Stunning Heather Morris grabbed the spotlight, with her character Brittany S. Pearce and the McKinley High students digging deep into their bag of tricks to showcase dazzling performances from the pop star's hits, including Baby One More Time and Me Against the Music.
Britney took time out to show her heartfelt gratitude to die-hards via Twitter, with their overwhelming support of the mammoth tribute.
"I loved it! Thank you guys SO much for making this happen!" Spears Tweeted.
Her manager, Adam Leber, joined in the picture in spreading the love for the show's tremendous reception:
"So glad you guys loved the GLEE episode! The Overwhelming response worldwide response has been insane. 3 of the top 10 worldwide trending topics. Sick! Big big big thank you to Ryan Murphy, the incredible cast and Brit's fans for making it happen..."
