Kayne West: To Redeem Himself At This Year's MTV Video Music Awards?

Guard those microphones with your life, people!

Rapper and producer Kayne West is keeping his fingers crossed as he makes a controversial comeback at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards after last year's mega blunder.


Hailed as a "jackass" by even President Obama himself, following 2009's nation-rattling incident involving Taylor Swift, West is privileged with that only chance to redeem himself when he performs at the momentous Sunday event.

Chelsea Handler will take the driver's seat as host of the show, and might inject some timely humor with a few West-Swift jokes. How about a short reenactment, fellas?

"I'm just going to kind of wing it," says Handler.

Other presenters include pint-sized troublemaker Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi, who's fresh from a recent court stint, as well as her Jersey Shore cast mates. There's also Cher, Katy Perry, Ellen DeGeneres and the Glee cast to complete the roster.

Performers include Eminem, Justin Bieber, Usher, Linkin Park, Drake, Paramore, B.O.B, and Florence + The Machine.
