He'll always be remembered for making you laugh your guts out.

Hollywood funnyman Leslie Nielsen passed away on Sunday in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was 84.

Nielsen, popularly known for appearing in countless slapstick comedies and spoof flicks, succumbed to complications of pneumonia in the presence of wife Barbaree and friends, reveals his agent John Kelly.

Making his film debut back in the 50's as a handsome leading man cast in serious roles, things would take a 360 degree turn for the Canadian-American actor as his natural comic talents would emerge later on.

This would be translated into successful goofy character portrayals, such as Dr. Rumack in the 1980 hit disaster comedy movie, 'Airplane,' featuring memorable belly-aching punchlines from Nielsen himself.

More hilarious fun would also follow in the TV cop series, 'Police Squad,' big screen laughs in 'The Naked Gun' trilogy, appearances in Scary Movie 3 and 4, 'Wrongfully Accused,' and countless spoof films in the span of his illustrious career.

Nielsen disclosed to The Times that he was in fact, "a closet comedian," all along.

The actor is survived by two daughters and has already been married thrice, the Associated Press reveals.

Condolences to his loved ones and may your noble contributions be treasured forever, sir.
