Comedian Robert Schimmel Dies In Car Accident!
Tinseltown takes a blow with another untimely loss.
Comedian Robert Schimmel, 60, dies from injuries caused by a car accident.
According to the actor's publicist on Saturday, the star of HBO's 'Unprotected' had succumbed to injuries sustained in the tragic incident, while confined at a Phoenix hospital.
Media narrates that Schimmel was travelling with his 19-year-old daughter, the driver of the vehicle, along with his 11-year-old son on August 26. His daughter had lost control of the wheel after trying to avoid another accident on a Phoenix highway, leading to the mishap.
The daughter was rushed to the hospital but is expected to recover soon, while the comedian's son was uninjured, reveals reports.
Schimmel is also credited for his contribution to radio on The Howard Stern Show, besides other HBO appearances.
The actor also lost 11-year-old son Derek in the past due to leukemia.
