Heartbreaking is an understatement.
Actress Shannen Doherty's father passes away on November 5. He was aged 66.
Doherty, former star of 90's popular teen sitcom Beverly Hills 90210, mourns the loss of John Thomas Doherty, describing her dad in a statement through her publicist as "the greatest man in the world."
Although it hasn't been confirmed at this point regarding the actual cause of death, John Thomas previously suffered a mean stroke on Christmas of last year and has had bout with other health issues.
In fact it was her dad's illness that gave Doherty the boost to showcase her talents on season 10 of 'Dancing With The Stars' earlier this year. And despite the short stint, the elder Donerty managed to catch a glimpse of her daughter perform.
"I love him with every inch of my being and cannot imagine life without him," the
39-year-old actress continues in a statement.
Condolences to Shannen during these times of grief.
