Wesley Snipes Heads To The Slammer!

Tick-tock, tick-tock, time has run out on the freedom clock!

And as expected, actor Wesley Snipes bids goodbye to the outside world and hello to a three year stint in the cold slammer. And in time for Christmas!


The 'Blade' star heads to prison Thursday (December 9) to serve a three-year sentence handed down to him for not being able to file his tax returns, after two years of appealing the said ruling to evade prison life.

According to reports, Snipes showed up early at the Federal Correctional Institution McKean in Lewis Run, Pennsylvania, and will be officially identified as inmate #43355-018. Whew, that's a lot of numbers buddy.

It was in 2008 wherein Snipes was convicted of three misdemeanor counts of willful failure to file income taxes within the periods 1999-2001, owing taxes worth $2.7
million.

Reveals the actor on CNN's 'Larry King Live' on Tuesday, "I think any man would be
nervous if his liberty is as stake. I'm disappointed that the system seems not to be working for me in this situation."
