But for estranged couples Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds who have recently revealed their split, bitterness and resentment isn't the issue.


According to a source, the former spouses met up over dinner on Friday at Blue Ribbon restaurant in New York, and were enjoying each other's company, "smiling and laughing the whole time."

26-year-old Johansson and Reynolds, 34, tied the knot back in 2008, but reportedly fallen out of love due to their strict schedules and commitments, which eventually led to the separation.

Friday's encounter showed that they were "just two people who were married being civil and friendly," continues the source. Reconciliation is out of the picture.

You've got to hand it to the pair for burying the hatchet for the sake of of good old times. If you can stomach this set up, why not? Otherwise, keep your distance if you've got a truckload of hurt.
