It's a blessed thanksgiving for couples Elton John and David Furnish, as they welcome a bouncing baby boy right on Christmas day in California.
The celebrated musician along with his 43-year-old partner, become parents for the first time with the birth of son Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, who tipped the scales at 7lb 15oz. The child was conceived via a surrogate mother in the US.
The 'Candle In The Wind' singer had previously considered adoption, but eventually resorted to surrogate arrangements, most particularly in the US. As of this moment, the identity of the said mother is kept confidential by both parents.
Reveals the proud pair in a statement, "We are overwhelmed with happiness and joy at this very special moment. Zachary is healthy and doing really well, and we are very proud and happy parents."
Among celebrities who shared the couple's immense joy is Elizabeth Hurley, who tweeted her thoughts: "Massive congratulations to David and Elton on having their beautiful son. Can't wait for my first cuddle."
And Sir Elton will have something to keep him up at night besides that piano. Congratulations as well!
