Ke$ha: Named Billboard's Hot 100 Artist of the Year!

She sure knows how to party her way to the top!

Pop singer Ke$ha debuts this year with a bang and becomes Billboard's Hot 100 artist of 2010, including the top new artist. Uh, Lady who?


The 23-year-old funky sensation from Nashville broke into the music scene in January with her first album 'Animal,' featuring the catchy electro-pop 'Tik Tok' that grabbed the top spot in that same month.

Says Ke$ha, "Sometimes I need to remind myself that 'Tik Tok' only went No. 1 in January. Because it kind of feels like it was 17 years ago."

Nielsen Soundscan reports that 'Animal' has sold 1.1 million copies to date, with three singles listed on Billboard's Hot 100 year-ender. This was followed up by the nine-track mini-ablum 'Cannibal,' just released last month.

Thumbs up to you cupcake, you'll definitely go places. And every now and then, it's still 'Tik-Tokin' in my head!
