Henry Cavill takes flight as the Man of Steel!

Look out mortals, Superman is set to grace the big screen again with a brand new face.

British actor Henry Cavill has officially been cast as DC comics most popular superhero in the sixth installment of the man of steel, with 'Watchmen' director Zack Snyder taking the driver's seat.
And the 27-year-old 'Tudors' star's audition process for the mega role was anything but faster than a speeding bullet. In fact, Empire magazine even tagged him as "the most unlucky man in Hollywood" for excruciating misses.

It was in 2004 that Cavill began his superhero endeavor, where he tried out for 'Superman Returns' with the role ending up with a Christopher Reeve lookalike in Brandon Routh.

In Batman Begins, he was the original choice till producers stuck it out with Christian Bale. And to top that off, he lost to Daniel Craig for the role of James Bond.

But persistence sure pays off and the tables have turned for the former Dunhill model who is definitely equipped to take the indestructible Kryptonian to greater heights.

Reveals Snyder, "Cavill is the perfect choice to don the cape and S shield."

Finally, you guys are doing something right.
